I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these uncertain times. With baseball registration planned to close on Tuesday, March 31 I wanted to provide an update on plans for the season.
With so many unknowns, it has been decided to extend the registration to Sunday, April 5 and remove the registration fee at this time. We understand the hesitation to pay a registration fee for a baseball season that potentially might not happen, but we need to be prepared for the situation that we are able to play this year. If it is decided that we are able to play, we will request your registration fees at that time. For those who have already paid your registration fee, you will be given a refund if it is decided we are unable to play this season.
If you have a son playing on our MBL teams and have yet to pay the second half of your registration fee, you can also wait to pay this fee until a decision is made on the season.
The SYBA board will be discussing a date that our season will need to begin prior to and if unable to start by this date, we will have to cancel the 2020 baseball season.
